Hokkaido Day 7

Hokkaido is famous for it's namacarameru or handmade caramel. The factory/farm Hanabatakebokujo where it is made is somewhat of a tourist destination so we decided to check it out. You can watch as the workers stir the caramel by hand.

There aren't many farms in Japan with animals so it is quite a novelty for Japanese people but both Naomi and having seen our fair share it was a little humorous. The miniature horses were still cute.

They had a Caramel store that sold caramel ice cream, pizza etc. It was delish!

After we left the farm we got into an accident so our trip was put on a hold for a few days.
